This hand-painted kitchen project was carried out by the Prodec team in a small country cottage in Bakewell.
the remit was to transform this oak finished kitchen into a more contemporary hand-painted finish and so we were able to fully strip down the kitchen removing all doors and drawer fronts back to the workshop where we could give them a full trysodium phosphate wash which is vital to the preparation process as it strips back any previously used waxes along with degreasing the surface to allow us to move forward with a stable substrate to paint…All components were then transferred to the spray booth for coating using specialist high adhesion primers and commercial top coating paint systems we are able to not only ensure an amazing showroom finish but also one that has strength and durability that will last for many years to come.
Whilst this process is taking place the on-site team were carrying out a similar process preparing and hand painting the kitchen cabinetry whilst making sure the kitchen remains fully usable for the client at the end of each working day and the full process took only five days to complete.
Hand-painted using the Helmi 10 paint system from the Tikkurila stable in Farrow & Ball ‘Purbeck Stone’ this is another stunning transformation by Prodec…the hand-painted kitchen specialists!
