This large project saw Prodec collaborating with Churchwood Design to project manage the full scope of works at every stage.
From the very beginning, we started with the deconstruction and removal of the existing kitchen, followed by the removal of old walls and floors back to the main substrates.
It was then time for Prodec to bring in an array of allied trades that included plumbers, electricians, window fitters, joiners, floor tilers, plasterers, decorators and last but by no means least the actual kitchen fitters themselves!
The full project was to totally refurbish the kitchen, utility room, mud room and downstairs bathroom with new walls, floors and ceilings, windows and bathroom furniture. Along with the fitting of the new kitchen, there were additional built-in cabinets around the Aga fireplace. In the mud room, there were some additional bespoke made spaces to fit around the main Churchwood Design cabinets to make unique little niches to store the client’s array of kitchenware. This was also the remit for the utility room where we were able to create more spaces for vital everyday items with some creative joinery!
To finish the joinery we then fitted the new skirting to the full project by first dry fitting/joint cutting everywhere…these were then removed to the workshop where we were able to colour match and spray finish them in the spray room using the Morrells acid catalyst lacquer system for an unrivalled ultra-durable finish.
The rooms were then decorated using Dulux Heritage ‘Timeless’ diamond matt with the kitchen cabinets hand painted kitchen in Dulux ‘Gooseberry Fool IV’ using their Diamond Eggshell product for a low sheen fully scrubbable finish.
The mud room was decorated using a combination of hand painted and spray finish with the slightly different tone of ‘Gooseberry Fool V’ being used for the cabinets this time.
Project managed by Prodec with bespoke joinery and full décor by the Prodec craftsmen.
We would like to thank all of our allied trades for helping us to create these amazing spaces and also to our amazing client for her creative inspiration too!
